Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 2025
Let's skip the lawyer-speak. Here's how we handle your data at Blog Core.
The Short Version
We collect the minimum amount of information needed to run this site. We don't sell your data. We don't spam you. If you delete your account, we delete your stuff.
What We Collect
When You Create an Account
We store your email address. That's how you sign in. We also store whatever profile info you choose to add: name, bio, profile picture, social links. All of that is optional except the email.
When You Comment
We save the comment, your name (or username), and your email. The email helps us identify you if you come back later and lets us reach you if there's an issue. We don't display your email publicly.
When You Browse
Standard server logs. IP address, browser type, pages visited, that kind of thing. We use this to spot problems and keep the site running. We don't build profiles on you or track you across the internet.
Cookies
We use a few cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. That's it. No tracking cookies. No third-party ad cookies. No weird fingerprinting stuff.
Third-Party Services
Firebase Authentication: Handles the login flow. Google's privacy policy applies to their services.
Analytics (if enabled): We might use privacy-focused analytics to see how people use the site. No personal data, just aggregate numbers. If we do, it'll be something like Plausible or similar that respects your privacy.
What We Don't Do
- Sell your information to anyone. Ever.
- Send you marketing emails you didn't ask for.
- Share your data with advertisers.
- Use your content to train AI models.
- Track you across websites.
Your Data, Your Control
Want to know what data we have on you? Ask us. Want it deleted? We'll do it. You can also delete your account yourself from your profile settings, and we'll wipe your data.
If you're in the EU, you've got GDPR rights. If you're in California, you've got CCPA rights. Wherever you are, we try to do right by you.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices. Encrypted connections, secure authentication, the works. But no system is perfect. If you discover a security issue, please let us know.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy in any meaningful way, we'll let you know. Not through some buried notification, but actually let you know.
